Sorry just saw your thread. Hope it isn't too late to comment I have a Bushranger Country hard floor, bought it about 2 years ago. Have taken it to the Flinders and done the Oodnadatta track and many other shorter trips. It is an excellent base camper Tows well, easy to erect, excellent canvas quality. Storage room leaves my mates Pioneer for dead. The Safari is basically the same except it is a bit longer.
They don't have all the bits and pieces of the dearer brands, but are a good honest basic hard floor camper.
Stove and sink work well
Mattress is firm, but an eggshell foam does the trick.
What ever you get a stone guard is a must.

We are considering the small Bushranger Joey caravan in a couple of years, when we get even lazier

I am also thinking about one of these so any other comments would be appreciated.  They look a bit like a CUB.  Did you cross shop with them?

Been in Korumburra 15 years now. Packaged out of Telstra , moved from Melbourne and I am not going back there.

Just a tip for you. My water tap at the back of camper, got broken on the constant dirt tracks. A change to a metal one would be better. Also if you add a hose connection to that youcan fill straight from a hose till it flows out the top . Much easier

Not sure if your directing that to me or Guyman or both, but can give my tuppence worth. I did check the CUB at the time as I had an older CUB 93 Supamatic and was looking to update.  The one we had was great, but the newer CUB, just doesn't appeal to me

hi alan
had a vague idea what we wanted then went to the camping show at caufield and left with no idea. (to many choices) Almost settled on a cub then chose the bushranger. Seems very solid and a lot less extras things on the bushranger. The main things to make up our mind was the fridge is in the back of the car so didn't need the fridge box and slide on the draw bar, and the basic kitchen just sink and stove as opposed to the nice pull out kitchen, benches and storage of the cub. Thought a folding table next to the bushranger kitchen will be enough. The more things that slide from under the bed the less room for storage under there. But both trailers  looked
good to me (total novice) a reasonable price difference between the two and what would be ready when we were ready to leave played a roll in selection also. Its really good when you finally pick something. Can tell you in 4 to 5 months if happy with selection ( leave tuesday )
