Now that is a sweet setup. I've got a 110 litre boil capacity, I just need the hot liquor tun and mash tun to match.

I've got 9 x 20l kegs, but only 2 of em are full.  :'(

Tony

Thanks Tony, two 50lt kegs would see you right for the HLT and Tun. I know how you feel with the empties mate, sometimes consumption outweighs production  ;D

here's a couple of pics of my mill hopper that i made and the brewery

cheers

Geez Tommo. Now I hafta go stainless for the HLT and mashtun.  >:D

How do you run the mill? Good old drill, or is there a motor and gears I can't see? I have the mill, but want to make up the chute and power it somehow other than a drill. I'm looking for a suitable 240v motor...

Why do I have so many interests and hobbies  ???

SWMBO has to put me on a financial diet  :-[

My fav hobby is kite surfing so I get that feeling when the car is loaded with my gear and I'm driving to the beach.... Watching the trees swaying in the wind and flags flapping. Then walking onto the beach and feeling the flying sand stinging my legs. Thinking "sheesh... It's windy!".    Then hooking into the kite and ready to launch it, knowing I will get dragged down the beach. Butterflies in the stomach.

mate i just run the mill via a drill, it can crush 6kg of malt in a couple of minutes so i don't think all the fecking around setting up pulleys and a motor are justified, that's me though, i do know blokes who have motors setup and are happy with the bling  ;D

what mill do you have ?
i can pm you all the dimensions of the hopper i made if you want, it's only a bit of scrap ali sheet and some angle that i got from the local scrappy, you could do the same with ply if you wanted.

cheers

Its a "Fermentap Grain Gobbler".

I'd have made one myself but my lathe is only small and I cant do a decent knurl. Problem with the grain gobbler is that it isn't stable when attached to the bucket (especially with a drill attached) and I don't have enough hands to control the drill and feed at the same time.  I've been looking at options to mount it with a proper hopper. Only undecided about powering it. The motor would be bling, but may as well do it properly  ;D

And following that up with your first good hard paddle in. Going in low, fast and deep and just waiting for the lip to feather over your head.

Is surfing better than sex?

 :cup:

Don't know if its better than sex but it sure is close. Only a surfer knows the feeling!
