I know we are all preparing for the trip but here are some things you may need or consider.
Wiper blades....as we will be traveling in dust it would be a good idea to look at your wiper blades and make sure they are in good condition.
Timber....a small prices of timber does come in handy such as a small piece of treated pine sleeper. Great for putting under the jockey wheel or high lift jack.
Extension lead.... As we have a number of members with generators who would be happy to share power a long extension lead would be handy plus a power board.
Toaster and kettle.....these do come in handy when we have power at the Cape or lions den. Just cheap ones would do. I even carry an electric frypan with lid.
Insect repellant.....there maybe some ants or crawling bugs around ( not husbands) a can of surface spray may be ideal to spray around the swag of camper. Do not spray on the canvas.
First aid kit....just in case someone gets the odd cut or abrasion. Mine comes with a female nurse.
(must fix that puncture before I go)
Sun block....even in winter you can still burn up here in the tropics. A good hat also.
Garbage bags.....we will have to carry all our rubbish that does not burn with us for a few days so get strong garbage bags. I double mine up and attach to the draw bar.
Batteries....great for the camera or kids electronic games.
Walking shoes....as we will mostly be in thongs goods shoes, joggers are needed walking to the tip.
A Hawaiian shirt.....dress code for Cocktails at the Cape !!
This is just what comes to mind. Members who have travelled the Cape feel free to add more.
