Qldr Patrol/Trackabout! (now with couple of pics)
« on: March 02, 2012, 11:08:51 AM »
Hello,
New here, just signed up day or two ago.
We have a 2004 Patrol ST 3L Auto, bought it second hand in 2005 with no mods, its now got an ARB Steel Winch Bar, Tigerz 12,000lb winch, Front Auto Locker, 3/4 ARB Steel Roof Rack, 4" suspension, home made shelf in rear holding an Engel 40L fridge, Kaymar Rear Work Light, 33" BFG Muddies.
In December 2011 we picked up our Trackabout Safari SV which we optioned up with full breezeway annex, heavier duty axle, stone guard extensions, H style boat racks & boat motor holder.  With the help of an electrician friend we have fixed LED strip lighting on the interior & for the annex have a system of LED lights that attach to poles once set up.  He also installed a CTEC 15amp charger in the tool box and a couple of extra 12v sockets around the place.  It was very sad time when I learnt the news of Trackabout on this site a couple of days ago.
Prior to the Trackabout we had a 2007 Jayco Outback Dove and prior to that we had a 2001 Dirks Camper Trailer (which my electrician friend bought off us when we bought the Dove).  Have gone back to a CT as we are taking it to the Cape (if all plans go ahead) later this year.

This is from maiden voyage in Jan for week stay on Fraser Island (annual trip) and waiting for the barge to return home.

Hey Cupcake, welcome. Great camper. We love ours.
You should be right with the rain, it's all down my way.
I have the bucket inside the front door to catch it.
Have fun camping this weekend.

A very tropical welcome to you Cupcake.
Congrats on your choice of campertrailer.  We have a Safari too - had it 12 months now and love it.
You'll find it will do very well up the Cape.  Son took his nearly 4 years ago now and it performed beautifully.
Have a great weekend camping and enjoy your time here on Myswag.
Cheers
