If I had one of these then I would have to get a Jeepney from Singapore to tow it ( matching pair).

Pick up a couple of tie dye shirts and then make my grand entrance at a National Swaggers meet.

Certainly would look interesting.....

Not a bad investment tho, I think they were about $8k new.

Many years ago (when working for the Parks Service) I pulled into a camsite on the Howqua above sheepyard. There was wat I thought was an Overlander parked there, so I started chatting to the keeper about his rig.

It turned out, it wasnt a real Overlander, it was a HX wagon that had been grafted onto the chassis and running gear of a LWB Toyota - taken from a tray version.  The workmanship was freaking incredible, and it fitted like a glove.  Ive often wondered wat happende/where is that peice of Aussie ingenuity now.

Hey , that's Werner Kroll in his DC 3 camper ...

I had forgotten all about him .

He lives at Samford not far from me .

I have seen it at the Samford museum  when they have had one of their events on, vintage car/bike displays also, not sure which event, If you want to see it check with the museum people I sure they would know when he was appearing with the DC3 truck.

The commodore at TT would be grafted onto a patrol chassis, I think I asked him about it last year. Some years ago a mate of mine put an EA falcon onto a MQ patrol chassis, he thought it was one of the easier conversions he had done.

That Commodore.. at one stage there was a stack of us standing around trying to figure out diffs, chassis etc etc. It was registered as a Toyota, I think a 55? Carried the Holden V6
