New-to-me homemade trailer
« on: February 16, 2012, 01:10:31 PM »

Gday all from south west victoria,
I posted in the hitch poll and thought id better introduce myself.  Ive not had any input so far but have spent plenty of time here reading.
Ive only recently taken posession of a camper my uncle built.  He has decided to make a new one with a few variations so i couldnt refuse the offer of this one!
This version started off as a home made box trailer with a small oztent on top, but has evolved into the checkerplate box on top which hinges at one end with canvas walls and door.  I will endevour to get some photos loaded which explain it a little better.

I am new to camper trailering, have been a tent user until now.  When i can, i do a bit of camping, 4wding, attempting to catch fish and at home dont mind the odd homebrew.

Have done a few longer trips to the deserts but often do weekends, with the camper trailer id say itll be much the same, with any luck it'll just make it easier to get away!

Cheers

Welcome to my swag Slug. The weather is looking good this weekeng in SE Qld, so we might try to get a night or two of camping in. Thats the best thing about having a CT rather than a tent, you can just hook up and go.

Gday all,

wow, what a welcome, thanks very much!

Now, im being honest, this is not just a gratuitous muddy camper pic, its really the only one i have with me.  My uncle asked if i still wanted the trailer, i said yeah, how does it look now, this is what he sent........
