Amazing footage - and in our back yard! Gotta love Australia
« on: February 09, 2012, 08:23:22 AM »
Budgerigars search for food and water in the outback of Australia. They fly in small flocks which gradually join other flocks of budgies, allowing their numbers to grow in the thousands!!

A BBC presentation that is just stunning!

enjoy

Every where I go I bring pleasure. Sometimes it's when I arrive... but usually its when I leave!

Gota luv the budgies in the centre, used to see them a lot when I was doing bush work out of Alice.  Will be back there in a few weeks and staying at Kings Canyon for a month so will hopefully see some more flocks.

Love the Budgerigars .  I remember our first trip and we were so excited to see them in the wild.  Thanks for the link.   :cup:
The following link is not as exciting, but we just love the Lorikeets and watching them come into our yard to feed on our Ice-cream Bean trees.  It is amazing how many times they have a feed and fly straight into one of our windows.  They just fly off again.  I know the noise they make drives some people mad, we love it!  (The noise in the back ground is one of our friendly pheasants.)  Yep, just love the outdoors and the birds and animals.   ;D

Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

Don't care what anyone says........... with all the high tech sci-fi special effects you see in the movies etc........... none of it even comes close as far as the wow factor is concerned, when compared to a special feature presented by ol' Mum Nature. :cup:
