Hi from shire in Sydney
« on: February 02, 2012, 08:26:01 PM »
hi all, finally decided to join after finding this forum by accident  in January last year when we were researching camper trailers. I read most posts almost every night, and got fed up with not being able to see all posts and pics. So I finally got my husband to join me up. We are a family of 5. Hubby myself kids aged 9, 6 , and 4. I have camped a lot as a kid through Brownies, Guides and Ventures. Camped with the hubby in tents before the kids came along, but we decided to not camp in tents with kids as decided it was too hard. So a couple of years ago we decided to hire a camper trailer to see how it would go. Loved it, so saved to buy one. That's when I started researching here. Found that Trackabout got good reviews, and John was the only one who took my inquiry seriously, why do campertrailer companies think women can't make the purchase. John personally rang within minutes of me sending a message, so ordered a Safari SV without even seeing one set up. He organized freight to Sydney, and couldn't be happier. Camper is towed by a Prado 120. Will try and post pics tomorrow in new thread.

No problems, I lived in Gymea and Menai. I have a funny feeling I know your husband when I look at your email address, I used to do a lot of Mountain bike riding and racing

Hi Mumof3 and welcome.

Know what you mean about salesmen not recognising who makes the decisions.  When we were shopping, I pre-arranged for a store to have a camper available for me so I could put it up and down myself.  Salesman was really helpful, but when it came time for me to actually put it up and back down myself, I had to almost tie him down to stop him from helping.  DH had a laugh about it later.  He thought I was going to deck the salesman.

Have fun on the forum.

It seems my husband already knows a few of you already. What a small world. Can't hide from any one. No ride yet on new bike yet. Won't stop raining. He rode all the way to Adelaide last weekend and did a bike swap and rode back again with his new toy. Thanks all for the welcome. Will try to post pics of camper tonight in My Trailer

Yes am a Shark supporter. Hopefully 2012 is our year. I hope to see a premier ship in my lifetime. Husband supports the Broncos, only to rub it in to me that he only supports teams that are't losers!!!!
