Planning a trip to Hawks Nest just wondering what the caravan parks are like or is there somewhere better near by that you can recommend.

Jimmys Beach Van park is great - there is another one near the golf course I think. Can't remember the name sorry
Whilst you are up there slide over to winda woppa - magic part of the world

We had a MySwag get together at Myall River Camp, terrific spot. Lots of space, plenty of trees, clean long drops, but no showers.
