Cheers mate,
Our saving grace is that most of the rain hasn't fallen in the upper catchment as this stage.
It mainly been kinda coastal. It's a Big River system, so it can take a lot, the next weather system moving down might be a worry tho.
Took a drive to Grafton this morning for our fortnightly shop, the water laying everywhere is a sight to behold.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I've had enough rain! We have arrived at Arrawarra at Darlington yesterday and it hasn't stopped raining since. Good time to find out the camper leaks like a siv. We have camped in the odd shower and rain, and we have never had so much water coming through the seams. Off to coffs tomorrow if we can make it to buy a tarp and poles to cover over the whole setup. The grass is so soft you sink ankle deep everywhere u walk. Permanent residents have been told to evacuate with the king tide expected to make it worse.
Anyone have ideas on the best way to put a 30x36 tarp over the top to have it so its not touching the camper?

That's a great idea Hairs. Guess we have some drinking do! Would you normally use a spreader bar across the center?

Gday Nate
Pool noodles also work OK. Run a rope through the hole in the centre to tie them in place. How long are you camped for mate??

When we had our trailer tent, we let the tarp rest on top of the campers canvas & frame work, I had replaced all the internal poles and spreaders with stronger ones than the ones supplied, also added spreaders to that frame work as well.
The tarp just laid over the top with poles and ropes.
Have a look here, Our Previous camper
It may give you some ideas.

We used 90% shadecloth under the flooring as well as in the annex area, stopped a lot of muck sticking to the vinyl.

Hope it works for you.

+1 noodles. also if you have any exposed pole ends put a hole in a tennis ball and wack it on the pole end. saves the tap and gives a bit more space between tarp and canvas

I put an old blue tarp under the main floor. We use 1 layer of shade cloth for the annex area. The ground is so water logged that muddy water squashes up through your toes through the shade cloth.

Yeah, when it's that wet there is not a lot you can do.
For were the main traffic flow is, have you thought about the mats with the inch round holes in them, the ones that lock together, they may help to some degree, I know, just more stuff to cart around and find some where to pack.
