Yep joining the crew at Cowley beach... By the way there was an article in the Cairns Post about Cowley Beach.. Apparently some idiots are driving very close to the turtle nests that are down there  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(. Looking forward to getting some pics (on foot of course) of the nests etc.

Grrr!!! >:D

Good spot but don't think I could spend 4 days there.

Unfortunately wife (emergency nurse) has to work.  :'(  Also looks like the weather will be bad anyway.

Re the Undara Lava Tubes.  We were there in 2010 and had a great time.  The tubes are fascinating and well worth the visit, but be prepared to pay for guided tours to the tubes as that was the only way to see them.  Very good camping areas and good facilities. Make sure you drive to the nearby Kalkani Crater and do the rim walk.

Kalkani Crater rim walk.

Our camp site on the Mann River will be under water by this afternoon so I think I'll just stay home and have a few cool drinks.

Usually spent it in my itsy bitsy Australia Day Flag Pool with a drink in hand, but the weather mob reckon it's going to be raining just as much then as today, so I might just blow it up (the pool that is) and sit in it in the lounge room (without the water) and pretend it's really hot and I'm sitting in water, but still have the drink in hand.

Win. Win.

Buckland Valley for us, may do a drive over to Mt Buller and check one of our job sites out...  Other than that, acquiring some bunnies for the dogs in the mornings, sitting in the river with beer in hand in the arvos.
