Talking to a mate who works on the sea swift ship they took back 33 4wd from Bamaga in 2011.
There were dual cabs with badly bent chassis , a good number of submerged 4wd. One vehicle, not sure what crossing, sat on the ship on its roof due to being wrecked as it could not sit on its wheels.
One clown tried to cross the Jardine at night and his vehicle flooded and was washed down stream a short distance. it's was only 8 weeks old with the works, lift kit, snorkel etc.
Others that had rolled or drivers had lost control and crashed.
This gives you an indication how stupid , impatient and down right dangerous some drivers are.
