Goldstream Laminated Gal Floor
« on: January 14, 2012, 06:09:04 PM »
Gday,

I'm currently recearching the Goldstream Storm, can some one tell me why the Gal Floor is an option,  and should it be a deal breaker on a 2nd hand Storm if it is not fitted.

Thanks in advance..Sav

I can understand an option on the on-road models but NFI why it isn't standard on the off-road models. There is a picture of a Cub floating around here which shredded a tyre and it ripped the floor to pieces. For that reason alone I'd get the gal floor. The only consideration is if you get moisture between the gal and the wood you won't know about the rot until it is too late.

Thanks D

My first thought was moisture issues also.

Besides something like the shreded tyre damaging the floor, do you think regular dirt roading (nothing to narly) really needs that extra protection?...and if so maby some well placed checker plate panels would do the job.

What do ya recon...

If the camper had everything else you wanted but the gal floor, I wouldn't knock it back just for the floor.
