Re shirts , stickers for the Cape.
« on: January 14, 2012, 06:56:13 AM »
If you don't already have MySwag shirts and stickers it would be great to support Brett and order before the trip.

It would be good to all have polo shirts as we get our photo at the tip. I don't expect kids to have shirts but it is up to you whether you get shirts for the trip. You can get a patch made saying you did the Cape trip and keep adding more trips to the shirt.

I think it was mentioned before, but we could get our own myswag polo's embriodered with the trip name "Cape York 2012" or get a badge made up for the trip to sew onto the shirts. However maybe it should be consulted with Brett to come up with a standard font, colour and position of the embroidering so that any other myswag trip can be added in a consistant format, if this sounds allright.

Good point. The main thing is to buy the shirts Brett has for members. Well done for volunteering in organising the patches. ;D

Hi Guys

Brett and I are more than happy to organise for the shirts to be embroidered with whatever you like  ;D.  Below is an example of what we have had done lately:

(Sorry, but you are not allowed to access the gallery)

Sort out amongst yourselves what you would like put on them and let us know and we will get the design drawn up at our embroiderer here in Rockhampton. We would then post a picture of the layout (or a few different ones for you to choose one out of) and you can let us know which one you like as a group.

Once that was settled we would need a list of how many polos and what sizes and for those shirts to be paid for and we would then have them embroidered and posted out to you.

What do you think?

Hi Jill

I was thinking 2 options. On the polo we could mirror image the emblem on the right hand side with Cape York 2012 trip  under neath it but that could put the costs up other wise just have the wording
Cape York 2012 Trip under the existing emblem.

Thoughts please.

Hi Guys,
A thought that I had was to have " Cape York 2012 "embroidered underneath the current embroidery on the front in the same font and then your user name on the opposite side also in the same font (you would have to decide on font size).
This then makes it possible for people whom already have shirts to just go to somewhere local and get it done, also rather than them posting the shirts to Rocky and return and the chance they get lost in post.
The other suggestion was to put "Cape York 2012 on the back underneath the screen print (although it would have to be embroidered for those whom already have shirts) and user name underneath the embroidered badge on the front.

I was also going to have my 2 kids done similar.

hope this is of some help

Hi Mark,

It is totally up to you all as group to decided on what embroidery you want. Any embroidery costs would be charged at cost price to you (no mark up on what the embroiderer charges us).  Did you want me to get quotes for the cost of each option you have suggested above??? Or do you want to decide as a group what you want and then have me get a quote???

Just clarifying what your first option was - do you mean that the Myswag emblem will be on both sides of the shirt (with one side having Cape York 2012 trip under it)???

If people (as Leanne has suggested) want to get their current Myswag polos (that they have already purchased and have in their possession) embroidered (with their own embroiderer or with ours) with user names and "Cape York 2012" that is fine with us however we ask that the Myswag logo is not be reproduced in any way, shape or form.

Any questions - please let me know...

Hi Jill

I like Leanne's idea. Simple and tidy. We will go with that. Under the emblem have Cape York 2012 and username on the opposite side.

Jill get quotes on 1: Cape York 2012  under the logo

2; the cost also for the username on the other side.

3; also cost to have Trip Organiser for me lol

This way members can decide  if they want  both 1 and 2 or Just 1. Regarding font size lets try and keep it the same as the logo in a way. Jill I will let you look at sizes and let me know.

Again many thanks for this and also Leane good idea it keeps it simple.

would we all have to have the username embroidered? I would prefer to just have Cape York 2012 under the myswag emblem and not worry abt the username.. Also wouldn't embroidering all the usernames on push the price right up?

I for one quite like the idea of your user name/handle on the shirt. Around thirty 4x4's and camp trailers, times two people on average  totals a lot of names to try to remember. For a couple of extra dollars per shirt, and been able to call a person by their right name is worth it. My two bobs worth.
Cheers duggie

As mentioned a price for Cape York 2012  and username . That way members can decide what they want whether both or one.

I already have a shirt but it is a bit small now so could also give me a quote for a shirt plus the logo and user name.

Hi blackcat

I will get our embroiderer to price up the "Cape York 2012" at the price for approximately 40 polos.  I will then ask her how much she we would charge each individual to have their username (or real name if they prefer) embroidered on.  It will then be the choice of each individual whether they want one or both.  I would have her do an itemised account so that each person is only paying for what was done on their shirt (I won't just divide the total cost by the number of shirts).

It will be $4.50 per "Cape York 2012" and $4.50 per username. People don't have to have both if they don't want....

We will need to know sooner rather than later what size polos (and how many) people want in case we don't have enough in stock. This will give us time to have more made up.

Cheers,

Jill & Brett
