A 1mm disk is the ducks nuts if you know what they do and how they react to mild steel.  This is cast.  ALERT.

I disagree with your reference to the darwin awards - look at the disc - it is designed to cut cast iron - refer to the flexovit website if you like.  I repeat it is designed to cut cast iron.  How can you arguee the fact when it is stated byt the manuafacture that it is for cast iron as well? And - Non tradies? - mate pull your head in, i have a trade, your still wrong.

Thanks for all the great info guys and after reading them all I,ve decided on the following.
1.Due to the fact that I,m on xmas holidays at the moment and the job will be done in my garage and not a workshop.
2.Lunch and smoko generally consists of 3 or 4 beers.
3.My PPE will probably be sunglasses and a pair of thongs.
 Taking all this into consideration  ;D ;D ;D Ithink a trip to my local metal fabricators is in store.Better safe than sorry.
But seriously thanks to everyone for their opinions this is the best forum of its kind going around :cup: :cup: :cup:

yeah but welchy, you have not just one but two nissans, this pretty much invalidates your opinion or at the very least means it would have to be subjected to rigourous independant testing by a highly qualified panel of toyo owners

Well said HerGU. My read was it was only a standard Toyo/Nissan dig (we all know Kranky loves his fishing). As an owner of both I'll sit on the fence and get splinters in my .... .
