Ok, so I've just been updated to version V3.3.0 and have to admit for the first time the update not so user friendly.  Change is good, normally, but this new version's taking a little to get used tooooooooooo.................

I've been on the IOS beta testing for this release. There has been a lot of negative feedback but the developers just ignored it. You only have to look at reviews in iTunes. There is a FB page going to bring back the old version.

Tapatalk was excellent about four versions ago.

I can't believe that any developer could cock something up so badly.

Apparently their is a serious challenger in the beta stage at the moment and its progression is being sped up to capitalise on the impending demise of Tapatalk.

Extract from a software developers forum below.

Unless it uses the Tapatalk API interface. there's a problem..

They would also need to build a server backend for SMF (i.e the plugin for SMF)..

Tapatalk is client/server, it's great to build a front end, but if there isn't a backend for SMF at least then we can't load it up. (unfortunately)..

I'm using V2 which has never ever crashed on me.
I can't see a reason to upgrade.

yep, I possibly made the mistake of having my app's set for auto update.
Unless I'm missing something, on the new version you can't access forum sections to start a new topic. Might be back to safari for a while.....

Actually, take that back. I just found them by clicking on the word myswag on the top

I gave up on the latest iPhone version today. Pop up ads on a paid app was the last straw. Down to one star on iTunes with lots of "wish I could give it zero" comments. Shame.

Mine updated yesterday. Now I'm not getting notifications from any forums.
Anyone else experienced this?

I have no idea how the logic of the notifications is working on this thing now. About 3 or 4 versions ago it was fine, but now the notifications and way to clear them seems unclear.
Cheers,
