G'day,
Any suggestions on good places around or near bendigo to camp with the family?
Prefer bush but open to suggestions.
Cheers.

There are a few camps around in the state forests or a little further away 20-30min drive you can camp on the loddon river depends what you prefer I can point out a few sites for you Mark
I'd also recommend taking a look at this site ozcamps.net and the parks website has some good info and maps on it
20-30mins away there is
Mt Alexander - harcourt
Newbridge - on the loddon it's a very small town with camp sites along the river accessed via the sports grounds
There is another spot on the old Newbridge to Bridgewater road on the loddon
Elmore on the goulburn river about ten mins out of Elmore
Just depends what you are after mate

Hey pacs,
Thanks for the info.
Ideally always looking for somewhere with water, a place for the littlies to dangle heir feet in and laze around.
Camp fire always a must and probably within half an hour at most out of bendigo.
