Skamper Camptrailer
« on: October 27, 2011, 08:52:09 AM »
Hello all,

I am new t the forum and have just put a deposit down on our first camp trailer. We ended up settling on a Skamper Ranger Off-Road.  Does anyone have any feedback on these campers.

The guys out at Skamper were very helpful on the phone and from the limited time I spent looking at the actual camper, it looks the good for the money, especially the trailer.  It is probably the best I have seen in this price range.

Here is the link to the trailer package.

Cheers

Well, I have asked for it after xmass, so not sure, but they did say they were flat out. :)

I can't wait though. Am keen to get started.

i went out to their factory ages ago when i was still hunting for our camper, they seemed like nice people.........and for the money they looked ok but in the end we choose to over extend the budget and go a hard floor - maybe not such a smart move by me  ???

when we looked at these it was a toss up between them and GIC........i prefered the Skamper and my wife prefered the GIC

Thank. Yeah we saw the GIC also, among a stack of others. But these do look good, and for someone like us whom are not die hard outback adventurers, I think it will be perfect for us.

yep - we checked them all out and I thought the Skamper was the best - we really liked the kwik 9' tent.  Found it so much easier than our old 12' tent on our prestige camper. The GIC seemed similar but did not like the people there.
