Attaching a web address

Have been trying to work out how to attach a web address to a thread but it has me beaten.
Tried copy and paste as well as just typing it in but cannot get it to work.
Please how do you do it.

Copy and paste the URL from the address bar, like this http://myswag.org/forum/index.php?topic=17307

In a post click on the icon that looks like the word
Which will give you see below pic
paste the url, page address into the first set of brackets and insert an = sign after the L.

Between the ] and the next [ type the name you what give the link.

Hope that helps some what.

D4D what is the address bar.
Hairs, tried yours but it is not looking like the others. Does it change after I hit the post.

If you type the text in the picture below it will give a result of what is below.

The "Adress Bar" is found at the very top of your screen ... and will have the following in it :     "http://myswag.org/forum/index.php?topic=17307.0;topicseen"
