Hello from Kerry at ModCon
« on: October 13, 2011, 10:57:24 AM »
Hello to all members from all of us at ModCon Campers.  I have been very aware of "Myswag" for a long time.  I look forward to  further interaction in the forum. John from Trackabout and I had a few quiet beers recently and John highly recommended Myswag and your involvement in the industry.   As many Myswag members are aware we are a Brisbane based (Capalaba) camper manufacturer who have been in the industry for many years.  I know many manufacturers and resellers in the industry and count many as good friends.  We do see the occasional unethical event occur, but normally by persons not really involved in the industry.

Hi welcome aboard, have drooled over your gear once or twice. (If only I was richer)
I couldn't imagine beers with JT would have been quiet!!

Looking forward to your contributions & I'm sure all the myswaggers with ModCons will appreciate your input.

Welcome Kerry.
I have to admit I have popped into your showroom quite a few times, I just can't help it I do like your rear fold and have you and Trackabouts as the only 2 CT's I would look at if I was allowed to upgrade to another CT.
I have found both yourselves and Johnny very helpful and always coming up with new ideas.
I dont think it is healthy living close to both showrooms and then there are all the car yards, no wonder I get no work done anyhow enjoy the forum, there are a few Modcon's on here and I can't recall reading any bad comments about your products.

About time Kerry,

Kate & I are most happy with our Elysium, it withstood 90kph winds at Wilmington with hardly a scratch.

G'day Kerry

Welcome to MySwag. Good to see another manufacturer on board.

I might call by the stand and say hello next weekend. You'll be outdoors at stand 6, right?

Wish I could afford one of your rigs, but just out of my price range.

Cheers
Grant

Hi Kerry,
We are proud owners of a Modcon Overlander.  ;D  I think it is a 2005 model; we bought it second hand in 2009 and have now done over 55,000 k’s in it, and on some very off road tracks. The camper has performed extremely well and we just love the king size mattress.  Like I said, we have taken it on some very rough roads/tracks and had no problems. (The biggest problem I have had is trying to match the paint colour to patch up some chips. Dark greyish colour.) So welcome to the forum.

Hey Kerry welcome to the swag :)  Hope your trip away went well.  Brad looked after me the other day in your absence.  Broken fridge slide and a slight tweak to the suspension all well looked after and with a smile. Thanks very much for the quick repair and for backing your product..  Just spent 2 1/2 weeks away in our solution and we loved it.  The solution made the set up and pack up a breeze.  Brad and yourself sure are working on some good ideas at present.  Grabbed an LED light whilst in there as well. :)
Even met up with Garry another Modcon owner whilst in Longreach, ended up travelling with them for 5 days.  GO THE MOD CONS  :cup:

We're been very happy owners of a Modcon solution since March this year. Set up and pack up is a breeze. We've done a few trips, a couple of weekends away and 3 1/2 weeks going down the coast from Cairns to the Gold Coast, then in to Longreach and Winton before heading home. We met up with Dave and his family, also Modcon owners, at Longreach and had the pleasure of their company for 5 days.

Kerry and the team are fantastic. Being from Cairns, ordering our trailer earlier this year was all done by phone and emails. We organised to call in while down that way to get some minor repairs taken care of and actually meet Kerry in person. Fantastic service all round. Nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to many more trips away in our Modcon.
