Sandy creek or Neurum creek for kids??
« on: October 12, 2011, 05:56:22 PM »
Hey guys we're heading away next weekend and have decided on sandy creek or neurum creek. We've never been to either and was wondering which would be better for young kids. We have a 3 year old and an 11month old. I like the look of sandy creek while the wife likes neurum. Is there plenty of room to kick the ball around and explore the countryside? Or can we go 4wding there or nearby? Anything else you could tell us about either would be great. We've checked out both websites and just wondering if there are any thoughts from my swaggers?? Thanks Moopla

Moopla,

They are both good.

There is probably a little more for the kids to do at Neurum creek, with the bike track and other activities organized by the owners from time to time. Neurum creek can be quite busy at times, though and feels a little more commercially focussed.

I personally prefer sandy creek. It is not as big, a little less crowded and a lot more relaxed.

In fact, we are off there this weekend with a large group of families from my kids school. The group has booked the whole place out. I think web have about 25 families going.

Praying for sunshine

Pete

We have a 4 and 7YO and have been to both places. Both are great but I prefer Sandy Creek as it is less crowded and have a great creek for the kids to explore and there is still room to kick a ball around.

It is only a short drive from Neurum Creek to Mt. Mee where there is plenty of 4wdriving for most tastes. Though most of the challenging stuff has now been gated off.

Moopla let us know how you go - I have been eyeing off both of these sites on the net and have two young boys, so I'll be keen to hear your opinion.

Crookedpete have fun this weekend - I hope an inch of rain on Saturday (current forecast) doesn't dampen the spirits!
