Anyone recommend a good 4X4 Clutch/Gearbox repair place around Cairns.

Thanks

Hi Cossie,

A few threads on similar topics lately - quick search bought them back up for me:

Between all those recommendations, you should be able to find someone to help you out!  ;D

Are you over this way in the midst of a trip? Bad time to have gearbox/clutch problems. Hope you can get it sorted quickly.

Good luck!
Matto :)

Don't know if they are mentioned in those threads but a family member lives in Cairns and he swears by Cape York Automotive.
Cheers

I wonder what the poor people are doing?

No worries Peter - I hope you can find someone in the list that will be able to help you out. Those threads are a bit hard to find if you don't search for exactly the right thing!

I hope you can get everything worked out with a minimum of fuss. Now - tell me more about this new camper? Picking up one of Cape York's specials?  ;D

Good luck!

Perhaps we could have another Cairns forum member meet up before you leave town??
The Jayco Shop is only 3 minutes from our house (5 minutes if Morag is driving)...

We also found it hard to leave Peter, some great people over that way. We were well looked after while we waited for the Paj to get it's CV and wheel bearing and now can't wait to get back. Had a few good drinks with a swagger or two as well  ;D

Glad you got the camper issues sorted or ordered at least..Worse places in the world to have to hang out aye....

I wish my manager had not been standing next to me at SuperCheap when you came in before the Cape trip.
It would have been nice to have a chat with you...
