« on: August 26, 2011, 07:01:00 PM »
Waaaaay off topic I know but was wondering if anyone knows of any advanced maths websites or facebook sites or the like that deal with advanced maths.

16 yo is doing this and some other super maths and has questions about quadratic equations and what not.  Way past my abilities.

cheers

I had fun doing this several years ago for my Advance Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Not touching any of this since leaving High School was fun. If I was in Tassie I would be glad to Tutor or help out sorry.....

If you need help with it, PM the questions to me - would be good to shake out the cobwebs.

With quadratics all you need to remember is x = [-b+/-sqrt(b^2-4ac)]/2a

Easy.......
Do not PM me for technical advice - start a thread.

You can always look for a uni student doing some form of engineering/science degree to tutor for a fair price.  I've thought about doing this myself with my eldest daughter.  She has two engineers as parents but unfortunately we are not young enough to know it all!!!!!!

Just remember, if it doesn't add up then accountancy is not your game!!!!!!!! ;D
SWMBO made me do it (whatever it was I did)!
