Lets look at it - Mark Duggan (a part time gangsta and dj on the Dole) is swooped on by the cops working against gun crime. He pulls a blank firing gun that was modified to fire real bullets on the cops. Cops open fire and one round kills him, another round misses and ricohets into an officers radio.
Duggan's family hold a march with local community leaders protesting against the police lack of information on the incident. March completes and splits up.
Anarchist movement moves in and starts riot. Riot becomes uncontrollable, police withdraw. Nothing done.
Copy cat looting and rioting starts in London, Manchester, Birmingham.
There are scum and there are scum. These scum are burning their own supermarkets, electronics shops, busting into hotels and restaurants demanding money from clientelle, busting into sports shops to steal clothes and sports shoes, mobile phones, Booze and TV's.
I heard some idiots on the news interviewed in the riots saying they were fed up with being neglected by the govt and persecuted by the police and it was time for payback.
IF you ask me we should give them some experience of what hardship is:
1. Take away their unemployment benefit - if they can riot, they can work.
2. Conscript them into the army and send them to Afghanistan or some other crap-hole. Let them be shot at, live in a dusty tent in 40 deg C heat, eat tinned food and piss in a bucket.
3. Don't put them in prison, put them on the streets in chain-gangs cleaning up the mess they made, and them move them on to rebuilding roads.
4. Finally, they don't need sky, booze, mobile phones, blackberrys, the internet because those things don't get them jobs. Send them back to school and tell them they have to pass their exams to get some benefits.
