GAL EXTREME OFF ROAD MODEL.

Laundry trolley, had you all excited there I bet.

Stats:- 20 x 20 x 2 mm gal frame, chrome rack, 11 x 2.5 Chinese no name grass rated tyres, armstrong brakes, two wheels only so it can't be used for a go kart by 7 yo son.

Oh, and that's the rig in the background.

Not a big budget project but at least I got to play in the shed for the weekend, and got a new Bosch blue grinder when the old cheap one blew to bits in my hand.  Everybody wins.

Repost, maybe the photo will work now.

My daughter's room is way too small to have a bed, a chest of drawers, desk, shelves etc.

Here's my solution:

Dual battery tray for the NM Pajero.

Piranha or ARB tray costs around $180.  Some scrap steel and an arvo in the shed cost a total of $0 ;D

Still needs a battery though.

Solar Panel Mounts
This is an ongoing project that I have been working on
What I started with is aluminium unistrut glued to the van using sikaflex 252
My solar panels are mounted (on some aluminium angle which is hinged-- more of this further down explanation) onto rollers that fit inside the unistrut so I can slide the panels up and down the van to avoid shading
You could even slide a single or more panels off the van to follow the sun
What I am waiting on now are some window locks to be keyed alike that will mount on all 4 corners of each panel so by unbolting two locks the panel will be able to tilt up giving you 4way tilting with a slide option.
This system would be ideal for east-west tilting and if you want north-south tilting you may have to spread panels away from each other to avoid shadows or tilt the last panel up and leave the rest flat

Cheers Michael

Yeah, I should have mentioned that the bed is up the stairs behind the house facade.

She can also pull out one of the green boxes to go through a "secret passage" to get into the space below the bed - there's even a small couch in there for her!

I made a plastic box under the sterio,  to take the HF and UHF radio mikes in the dash.

Big Bad Bash plate for under the Patrol

But my favourite would still be the fold down table on the back door.

Well, I will be different.  I have taken on a little "interest" project and I am making collapsible mudcrab pots.  They are 900mm in diameter and 300mm in depth, 10mm galvenised steel rings and I am cutting and using discarded trawler nets.  I have learned how to "mesh" the funnels into the sides OK, but living in Mackay, you cannot buy a bloody thing here.  Everything I need (except the 32mm poly pipe for posts) has to be purchased and freighted down from Townsville.  Would you believe in a city of this size there is not one galvenising company!!!!!!

I can't show any piccies because I don't know how to set them up here.  I have made 4, and they are not bad but they will catch crabs, but I have a long way to get to get them to "perfect".

Cheers

While we're looking at fridges; this is how I secured the slider.   Its roooly simple.
The slider is attached to a piece of plywood

Aluminium "H" channel is attached to the floor of the cargo area using the original tie-down points (with some longer bolts from Mitre 10)

The board just slides in.

The end result.

It only takes a couple of minutes to instal and remove, which is handy when the spare wheel is under the floor!

Along the same line as the above fine effort.  As I have no building experience, I was happy with my effort of building a cubby house for the kids from scratch.  All you see was done by me.  It matches our home which is a log built design.
