Another from the Gladdy region
« on: July 20, 2011, 09:57:41 AM »
G'day everyone,

Have been having a look around the site for a while now. Recently purchased a 2011 Jayco hawk for me and the family. Tow it with a 2011 Pathfinder. Loving both ATM. Only had the Jayco out a couple of times so far as we have to wait until my roster lines up with the wifes 3 day weekend at the moment. First major trip will be the Dinosaur trail next April. Will post pics when we take some.

Cheers Shaun

Hi Mel, We are actually located at Benaraby( just another suburb of gladdy though ). Love the Hawk ;D Should have also mentioned that it is an outback. As far as mods go nothing to speak of just yet. We purchased a stock item from Warburton's in Bundy for a very good price. But I do have a list.

Cheers Shaun

Oh yeah thats the go. We are waiting for ours to be built. Will be ready start of September. We also brought ours from Damian at Warburton & got a good price. Have you found any warranty issues with yours yet? Im hoping we dont but from what I have read I am expecting a few  ???

Mel, We have had a couple of small issues. The first was the sticky back velcro on the outside of the door and holding the pelmet up was continually peeling off. Have fixed the door not the pelmet as it is not a big issue yet. The second was on our maiden voyage out to cania gorge. when we arrived and unlatched the roof we noticed one of the screws heads had broken off. Fixed this myself with bigger stainless bolts on all the latches. Wasn't going to drive 2 hours to get tiny little screws again.

G'day Shaun,

Welcome on board. When you went to Cania which way did you take the Hawk, and how did it go?

Oh ok, I shall check for these things when I pick mine up. I love Cania we went out the sealed road on the way there then came back the dirt way with out softfloor and stopped at Many Peak Pub for lunch was a great trip. We will be heading out again with the Eagle when it arrives.
