Fiamma Clip System.
« on: July 11, 2011, 01:43:29 PM »
For those interested. This weekend I trialled the Fiamma Clip System in conjunction with sunburst solar shades and to put it basically, I highly, highly recommend for anyone who has a Jayco with Fiamma awning. Makes the whole awning more rigid and the ability to just slide on walls if weather goes bad is awesome. Tips, must be installed before winding up the roof. Unless you have a ladder and remove the top section complete prior to clipping in position. This assist in getting the awning to slide in flat........

Sounds and looks interesting.

I'm looking at the photos on the link and the number of poles/bars and I can't quite picture how it goes together.

Is it a little fiddley? The Fiamma is so quick so I was wondering how much additional time this took to put together.

Thanks

GS

GS,

Yes, the pictures are a little deceiving. All you do is join the two lengths together (slide together) undo the top halves, clip in and do up the halves you undid. Takes no more than 2mins. Very simple and no poles at all. The below picture shows what it is.....

I have this system as well. It is fantastic. I wouldn't set the awing up with out it. I can confirm that it does only take about 2 minutes to put together and it well worth it as you don't need to worry about it for the rest of your stay. Makes it so much stronger...

Actually I am interested in the finished product as I am looking to buy a long wall from Sunbuster and hang it off my Fiamma.

The long wall from sunbuster slides straight into the Fiamma without the clip system. Only need the clip system for end walls which slide into the built in sail track of the clip system.....

I bought my clip system through sunbuster.

PS: I will take pics at the valley of lagoons trip in a weeks time..... ;D

D4D these are fantastic, I just had a look to see if I could find any clear pics of mine but in all of them the annex is attached to them. I also rope the legs down and I don't worry anymore.

Here are some pictures of the Fiamma Clip System. One end just slides over the shock absorber fitted to the awning unit and the other end just sits over the knuckle of the swing down arms.......

Picture sitting on knuckle.....

Picture sitting on Shock absorber......

The rails in situ.......

Hope this helps clear up how they work and fit...... ;D

Tip: Must wind out awning till the awning goes loose to allow the brackets to slide into position. Also, fit before raising roof and take the top halfs off completely when fitting....... ;D
