Cheap, Nice accomodation in the Sydney Area
« on: June 16, 2011, 08:56:22 PM »
Hey all,  :cup:
I need to take no 1 to Sydney(nth Turramarra) to be precise in the July school holidays, and i am looking for some nice, cheap accomodation, so was wondering if anyone knows of some nice places, don't mind if it is a caravan park, motel, hotel, etc....but it has to be something that I can leave my car at, hoping to do a bit of sightseeing....so would like to take the train into the city if I can...
Cheers

Lance cove national park has a caravan park in it. It is close to Nth Turramurra and has train station within walking distance.
Unsure of the price but it checks the other boxes.

As previously mentioned, try Lane Cove River Tourist Park
www.lcrtp.com.au
We stayed there in our tent last March and certainly recommend it, but best to book in advance during busy times and weekends.
Train station is only a short walk from the park, and a few stops and you are right into the middle of the city centre.
Although the park is only a few KMs from the CBD, it feels rural - except for being on the flight path for the airport.
Would definitely stay there again.

The best of those 3 would be the Lakeside at Narrabeen.
Be aware that none of them are near tha train line and buses are not the best in Sydney.

Going to the San by any chance?
If you need a hand with anything while you are here let me know.

Cheers

X 2 For Narrabeen, great spot on the beach and less than 30 minutes to Turramurra.
