Sometimes even mud or cow ....    ;D ;D ;D ;D

I only have a carpet tile inside the camper and a plastic tread outside to remove some of the dirt grass etc.

We usually carry about a half dozen of those clip together large rubber mats, and use them where they are needed.  My son normally uses one beside his swag as well.  I had a large roll of that special rubber matting stuff, but it was too heavy and bulky and never got used, so it got sold.  If you've got young kids, then either shade cloth or the rubber matting would be the go.

We use a C Gear Annexe Mat, IMO the best annexe flooring you can get.
Any dirt or sand falls back through the mat always leaving your annexe floor clean.

Try this link http://www.cgear.com/rec_product.html

I had the same, and sold it for the same reasons, but it did work well when we did use it

x4, bought mine after selling the rubber stuff, but for what it is, its way expensive. Plus it slips on itself being double layer, works really well though

The green rubber matting stuff with little holes in it - nice and soft under foot and good for the kids to play on even if the ground under it is a bit rocky or prickly. Happy with it - would buy it again.

Got a big offcut of 90% shadecloth from the big green store, about 3x6 metres for around $30.  Works a treat.

Same here - under the annexe and under the soft floor.
I also put the interlocking rubber mats between the shade cloth and the soft floor ( shade cloth should keep the mats dry for packing up)

Cheers Mike

We also use shadecloth. We got it with the CT, edges are hemmed and eyelets every couple of meters. Works very well.

We used to use shade cloth that was hemmed and had eyelits around the edges so we could peg it down, it was ok. At the camping show in sydney one of retailers there (no idea which one) was selling the rubber mat (dont know the brand) in a size that fitted the area under our awning for half its normal price. It is heaps better than the shade cloth and does not need to be pegged down etc.

Mine is not hemmed, just rough cut straight off the roll ;D  I use 19mm black pvc pipe hold down loops to keep it in place, they work a treat are cheap as non bulky and relatively light.

What size did you get kiva?

I'm not sure whether to go a size bigger to allow for a bit of overhang.

I have the 4.3m x 2.4m mat. This is (ever so) slightly larger than the matting that Ultimate provide, so it suits the camper nicely. The matting that Ultimate provided is now used as the ground sheet (folded in half) for the under-bed room.
