Things To Do: Wilmington Heritage Walk
« on: May 20, 2011, 12:40:21 PM »
Want to stretch your  legs and have a quiet couple of hours - go for a stroll around the historic town where the National Meet is being held.

Follow the Wilmington Heritage Walk, a trail that gives you a chance to take a trip back in time to discover the township of Wilmington. You'll find 25 information plaques along the way, which cover more than 100 years of Wilmington's history.

Nestled in the Flinders Ranges, surrounded by park lands and the Willochra Plain, Wilmington was first known as Beautiful Valley by the pioneers who settled in the region in the mid 1850s.

The walk starts in the main street.
