Hilux 2007 SR5 Suspension Upgrade
« on: May 09, 2011, 06:06:41 PM »
Well I have finally bitten the bullet and booked my 2007 Hilux SR5 in for a suspension upgrade / lift at ARB. They quoted the whole shooting match including the Old Man EMU kit that will give me approx 2 inch lift thus allowing me to put 16 inch tyres. They advised i dont go to hard on the rear unless the I have toolboxes / work gear etc etc...which I dont........I Will only fit the tyres and wheels a month later as per finance managers instructions.....has anyone done a Hilux / Old man EMU fit out..??? how has the handling / ride improved..??? ( personally dont use the car during the week only when we go away on weekends) I will post pics on the progress just for Shits & giggles...i am booked on the 16th May so hang in there...

I will be keen to hear any feedback

cheers
Tezza

I had a Navara D40 with the OME package and i wish i did it earlier, it totally transformed the vehicle, yeah i know its not a Hilux but the suspension package will transform the standard suspension Hilux.

I just had my Hilux done but I put EFS 2 inch lift

I put hard in the rear soft up front

No bullbar only second battery

steel canopy
draw system
water tank 40l
and Fridge
all live in the back

I went from the TRD lowered Bilstiens and I was worried about handling but it hasn't really affected it

As for Rubber the TRD comes out standard with 17 inch wheels and i changed the tyres to Cooper LTZ's 265/70/17
