Newby from the NT
« on: May 03, 2011, 06:26:01 PM »
Hi all,

We have been admirers of this forum for a couple of years now and finally registered. We bought a Trackabout Safari from JT in 2008 on Internet research alone. No complaints at all. We absolutely love our camper!!!
Due to work commitments we were not able to test out our camper until the Easter break this year(except on the front lawn). As you can imagine we were chomping at the bit to get it dirty. We hooked up the camper to our 2003 Nissan Pathfinder and off we went to explore the Red Centre. Not without plenty of 4WD and camping experience, we really enjoyed this trip with a camper trailer.

I will get some pics up shortly (once i work out how to use the site)of this adventure. Our next planned trip is the Kimberley's for a month (mid jun to mid jul). I will add trip notes and plenty of pics.

Cheers,

Matt.
Please feel free to offer any tips on the Kimberley's. We would love to hear of anyones experiences.

Welcome!

Many from the Territory here, so I'm sure you'll get some first hand info.  I used to reside up that way myself.  Did the Gibb in late April 1988 and it was a blast!  It's probably changed a smidge since then.  I loved Lake Argyle myself.  If you don't mind buying an E-book, this link will take you to one of the best about that area which is updated as things happen:  http://www.kimberleyaustralia.com/

G'day and welcome. Good looking camper that. Good to see another from the NT with a Trackabout. Ours is a 2008 Safari as well but doesn't look that clean any more. Enjoy
