Lest we forget
« on: April 25, 2011, 06:44:16 AM »
   They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old,

Age shall not weary them
  nor the years condemn

At the going down of the sun,
     and in the morning

WE WILL REMEMBER  THEM.

A Serviceman is someone who
at one point in their life made a blank cheque payable to AUSTRALIA, for an
amount up to and including, their life! That is honour...there are way too many
people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact! Copy and paste
this into your status if you are thankful for your freedom. This ANZAC DAY,
THANK A SERVICEMAN.!!!!!!! LEST WE FORGET !!

Two of the proudest elements associated with my life are associated with this day.  1.  My eldest daughter was born on this day 16 years ago.  2. I served this country for 21 years (and still do although no longer in uniform).

Love this country, love my daughter - it doesn't get any better !

G'day Swaggers,

I'm a current serving member and am deployed in the Middle East. This was my first time celebrating ANZAC Day while on operations. Dawn Service this morning was an amazing experience and one I'll never forget. Thanks all for your kind words of support. Believe me when I say that those of us still serving appreciate your thoughts and well wishes.

Regards,

Mark (24 days to go!)
