G'day from Bendigo
« on: February 21, 2011, 11:43:37 AM »
Hi everyone.
I've been lurking on here for a few years. Used the great info to help me build my first camper trailer ;D Anyway, it was time for a new camper, so I've been searching.... And a trip to the Wandin 4wd show sealed the deal. 8)

Thanks for the welcome everyone  I settled on a Trackabout Safari. I had my eye on them for years, but went through the whole  "Chinese tent" build your own thing first. It has been great, in that i now know what i want and don't want in a trailer. But its was time for some quality, to save me getting frustrated with poor quality canvas and setup. Theres nothing worse than things breaking on a camping trip, taking away from the fun stuff.

Congrats on your choice of camper Gazman - you won't be disappointed.
We took possession of our new Trackabout Safari last Friday - just love it - haven't been able to use it yet (apart from having it up in the backyard for 3 days seasoning the canvas and sitting under the awning having a drink, pretending we were camping. haha)
Our son and his family have one too and we have seen it in action going to the tip of Cape York and back a couple of years back. It was awesome how it performed over very rough roads and through deep creek crossings.
Not only are the campers great quality but the service from John and the team is first class too.
Look forward to hearing about your travels with it.
Cheers
Sharyn  :D
