Welcome to the Forum Greg, any of the well name brands will serve you well and you have a good selection of them up your way. My belief is good quality canvas on an Aussie built trailer and you cant go wrong. Check out the classifieds on the forum as there are some bargains available second hand without the wait. Good luck on your quest

Greg,
Welcome.

I recently bought my first camper trailer. The things I think you need to get your head around first are...
What are you going to tow it with, hence where are you likely to go (real offroad, sort of offroad, or just mainly sealed roads), where are you likely to stay (offroad out of the way places with no power or mainly caravan parks), and then start using the search function, and buy quality aussie canvas on an aussie trailer.
If you've been camping, you'll have a bit of an idea then of the sort of things that would make you comfortable in the setup of the CT.

Best of luck...its a journey.

G'day from the far north Gregd.
You're in for a fun time looking for a camper - but even better once you've decided which one.  Enjoy.
We've just brought home a Trackabout - chose it mainly because son and family have had one for almost 3 years now and we have seen it in action when we all went to the tip of Cape York in 2008. They are a very tough trailer.
But as MarkVS rightly said, you need to know what sort of places you want to see and stay at to help guide you.
All the best,
Sharyn  :D

Hi Guys, We just got our Trackabout camper ( new ) and are so happy.

All the advise is to get Aussie made canvas on your Tent, If they look to cheap they prob have imported canvas. Cousin works in canvas and he is adamant about the fact.

Enjoy when you get it.

Congrats on your new Trackabout.  Very exciting!  We picked ours up from the dealer up our way last Friday.  Can't wait to be able to get away some time soon.  Enjoy yours.
Cheers,
