Not personally, but saw a job recently where the powder coating had holes in it where it hadn't been applied evenly and adequately. This could lead to it coming off I'd reckon.

I have a ute tray that is losing the powder coating and have been told that it was to do with the oven used. In my case the oven has cold spots in it and doesnt bake the finish evenly.
