Hi all from queensland
« on: February 11, 2011, 08:07:04 PM »
First of all thanks to everyone for providing an unreal forum, i have read & laughed at a lot of the postings in here before i joined, and i am very impressed by the help of others (well most of them) LOL. We have been avid campers for at least 15 years mostly in tents  >:D.
Today we  have ordered a 2011 Jayco Eagle Outback which should be delivered by 1st week of April.
We had the opportunity of seeing one in the flesh today & though we dont think there is a lot of difference to the 2010 models, (My wife doesnt like the orange sticker),it looks great to us, (especially after so many dome tents). We have pictures for those that have not seen them, so we are quite happy to post them here when i work out how to do it  ???

A bit about us, Kev (me) 8) my wife Ruth  :cup: our daughters Sarah 17 & Leisa 15, our towing cart 1 x 2011 Mitsubishi Challenger, our pets 2 x dogs (Indy, staffie, Noodles kelpie, pain in the a..). So i have a lot planned to rig the new CT out, at a cost of course something i dont tell the missus  ;D.
Looking forward to talking to you all & we are wishing to get into a club of likes to meet new people, we are in the eastside of brissy. So if anyone has a club or such please PM us.
I am also lucky enough that i have an electronics background (ex RAAF) so it helps with fitting out the new camper.
So if i can be of any help to the forum please ask (i'm not benjamin franklin) but even he needed help.

Cheers looking forward to the threads & great lots of info.  ;D
KEV & RUTH

Hi KeV and welcome to you and your family to the forum.  Yes you are right you can certainly get a laugh out of some of the characters here.  Plenty of knowledge and experience, all you have to do is ask.  Even some shady characters here who once had a previous life in the Defence Force, so you might already know some.

One thing you need to learn is  :worthles: so when you get the JAYCO, share the photos and every trip you do, share the photos, it's a bit of a tradition. Sit back and enjoy the ride and enjoy the JAYCO when it arrives.

Kev & Ruth , youngens & pets  Welcome to Myswag . Dont worry about the electrical section , worry about the uncontrolable urge to do MODS  ( The Dark Arts )  If I just do this , & that , & then & & & on it goes . Then after your hooked somebody will post another idear & off you go again. Your family needs a father dont do it , but when you do post the pics so we can all see .

Welcome to club jayco from FNQ!   Picked mine up last month (Hawk O/B, last year model floorstock)  ;D
The hardest part will be the wait for the camper...
I'm sure you will be called upon at some stage for electrical advice, although not sure if it will be via the electrical section. You need balls of steel to enter the 12v arena somedays.   volts ain't volts....  >:D
