Hi from Central West NSW
« on: January 31, 2011, 08:42:05 PM »
Hi all, after some time lurking around the forum last year, and the odd post this year, thought I should formaly introduce myself. My wife, 4 children and I after many years of camping, with some help and information from this site, got into our first camper last year. A GIC Offroad, which suited our budget, and got us into something new. It was also like a clean pallet that we can mod within our budget and needs. Many of the mod ideas I can see coming from this site.
I just wanted to say what I great site this is and find myself spending more and more time browsing and learning.
To everyone, keep up the posting and sharing ideas, as for newbies like myself we find it invaluable.

Thanks.

Lemo.

Hey Lemo! You've probably seen that you're not alone being from the Central West...we've got a few others here from there. Personally, I'm a little north of you in the North West Plains land...We're blessed with great camping country out here too!

Too true, so much to see, such little time. Thats how it goes here anyway. Have ordered my myswag sticker to go on the camper last night, so will be keeping our eyes open on our travells throughout the central west and beond for other myswaggers.

As far as mods go, I have to wire the trailer for 12v and install my 120ah battery, put some leds in the tent, i have a tool box to go on the front, and want to put a boat rack on. Thats just what ive thought of so far. No doubt it will be a never ending project. Was always the way just tent camping, every time you went away there was something added to the list.

Thanks

Lemo.

G'day Lemo 79
Welcome to the forum and like you I am new to this site and have found at least a dozen of mod's that I have thought about and now have a huge wealth of experience to draw on when the money allows for me to start them, but I wont let that stop me from getting out there with the CT the way it is and I now look forward to meeting other swaggers when I am on the road, I grew up in Tamworth and would like to checkout some of my old camp site one day and visit out your way as well.

Where do you hail from? We had many years in the Central west with work including Cowra, Mathurst, Orange, Young etc.

Hope you enjoy the forum

Hey thanks for the welcome guys, where actually in Forbes. Like to get accross to Wyangala occasionaly, and looking forward to getting more abroad. In the past we have been restricted distance wise, due to having to take two vehicles camping (4 kids don't fit in the Rodeo), but now we can load the camper, actually one of the best parts is the camper is already mostly packed, hook on with the tarago and set off. Needless to say we wont be venturing to far off the tarmac, but quite happy going where we can at the moment. But there is still endless places we can go at the moment, and the bigger adventures will come later on with the purchase of a 4wd wagon.

Oh, and this ones for Hem

I guess there comes a time where every newby must bite the bullet (only been registered now for a few weeks but what an awsome site ... sure does make the bug bite). Anyway, greetings from another central west resident.

We're looking at getting our Mario Trailer in about a fortnight and can't wait. Already have a couple of improvements planned thanks to postings from bimborocks and way-t-go as well as one or two outings (esp. Geelong ASRF street rod nationals ... just another hobby where the bug has bit hard).

Catch ya  8),
Chris

Onya mate,

Forbes is a great part of the country & now that Wyangala has more than a piss in a puddle in it...it would be awesome.

Hope to catch you "out and about" sometime

Hi all,
Thanks for the welcome's, just thought i'd post up that I had a few pleasent parcels arrive today and looking forward to the weekend. At lunch time my new Ctek charger arrived at work, playing with that already. Then got home this evening and found my myswag sticker and cooler had arrived, thanks Brett, and my cheap leds from ebay from another thread had also arrived. So plenty of new toys to play with this weekend.

Thanks Myswaggers.

Lemo.

Got that latest snap shot of Wyangala Dam at 92.8% today taken from Elliots Lookout. Big contrast from what it has been. Great to see, the beach area is back in action and many people and many boats there making the most of it.

Now will have to see if we can get that 100%+ shot.

Lemo.
