Yep, those 2 made the game of test cricket enjoyable even when the play was as boring as Ewen Chatfield!

Great batting lineup... at least 4 managed to score more than the extras.

The coach will need to play in the third test, he is the only Aussie on the tour that can play spin bowling!

That's great but the thought of KP and Warnie being on at the same time has me reaching for the bucket!
Here for a good time, not a long time!

There isn't much in the way of decent commentators left...
We can look forward to more in jokes and in stories from the "boys club" for the year...

Michael Slater... personally I don't mind him.

Ian Healy with no more than 1 eye, and doesn't commentate, he barracks...
Shane Warne.. full of himself and plastic surgery
Mark Taylor putting you to sleep with his upward inflection...
Ian Chappell telling moronic stories of how something with nothing to do with what's going on on the field reminds him of something from the 1912 tour of Swaziland
Michael Clarke.. knowing the persona he puts out to the world, this should be riveting.

At least they haven't yet fallen for the PC world with the token felame trying to read prewritten questions and comments...
"The announcement also follows speculation Nine was considering adding a strong female voice to the team "

ABC radio is pretty much still the only way to listen to it.. They just commentate the game...

YMMV

We miss you Kerry! If only he knew the bullShit cross promotion of rubbish shows on Ch9 that would be crammed down our throats too!

Quote
The ghost of Kerry Packer still looms large over the Channel Nine commentary team, and this is what he has to say …

"Stop asking questions of other commentators and excluding the viewer;
- stop telling us about Shit weather;
- cut out the in-jokes
- we're not interested in your tennis and golf games or your fish and chips;
- keep women, kids and blokes who don't play the game in the loop by keeping it simple and explaining it for dummies;
- call the fuking game, not the peripherals;
- tell us about the game but don't analyse everything - it's not science, it's a game, and all that analysis is boring;
- call the game;
- know the players, know the figures, know the conditions and take us inside the game.
- Don't lecture.
- Call the bloody game."

Don't know how many years it has been now, since Pigeon left, we don't have a consistent bowling attack and when we did Pup let his ego become a tumour to ruin the makings of a good thing and then the whole thing fell to Shit and they are still trying to play back yard cricket on an international stadium.

just my mild observations
Cheers
