Went in to JB & little while back to pick up a new camera.

Chatting to the sales bloke while looking at them & it was obvious that he actually knew something about camera's!  :o

Turn's out that he's an ex-pro, who was Official Photographer to the Formula 1 Series so he was at every race, world-wide with access to everything.

Gave it away after a few years as he got tired of living out of a suitcase ...  :'(

Sitting on my ride on mower , radio plugged in , hot coffee overlooking Lake Nagambie & getting paid for it . Then driving 4 1/2 mins home to Beers in the shed  . Works for me ,,,,,,,,

Finding it interesting that no one has nominated "high paying/high pressure" jobs like a eg top 20 in capitalisation company with offices all over the world?   

Happiness may not be found in having a truck load of income - but in finding the thing that interests you...

Run a Hema Map Patrol/Cruiser with my wife.

Would need to wait a few years til the kids are off our hands, but that sounds pretty cool to me.  Would need a nicely setup offroad hybrid van arrangement, as I don't think I'd want to be swagging or rooftop tenting permanently though.

I was a stockbroker and had some pretty good earning years but it was taking it's toll so I took a year off to travel Oz and came back a gardener/lawnie - don't know if it's my dream job but it's pretty close, and we live a far more modest lifestyle but I'm soooo much happier and healthier in mind and body.

Yep, you have my dream job as well.
BUT
I worked for years in an office.  I have done management, call centres, reception.  Got bored with it so back to school at 53 years of age and did child care.  I did it in the hope that it would give me qualifications for when we travel Australia.  In 2 years I have got as far as completing Advanced Diploma. I am now focusing on Autism.
I love my work.  Its the hardest job I have ever had but I get cuddles when I go to work and I get paid to play in sand pits making sand castles and playing with play dough.

One day we will travel thought.  I HOPE!

My son is a bit of a hoon and he had his dream job testing brand new trucks on a test track!  He loved it.

Gets boring real fast.

Current job involves a days travel each way to site, to work three days straight. 10 hour shifts. No sitting down. 1 loo break by prior arrangement with relief person. Constantly dealing with the public. Serious safety responsibilities. After shift, go home to van and cook dinner outside, but careful on the grog as random breath tests must go 0.00.  Oh, and no pay.

Best job I've had for a long time. 

Oh, and did I mention the maximum today was 8.5 degrees, and we were doing 80kmh with the windows open.  Brrrr.

I'm currently sorting out a deal at work which will give a client $25k/yr savings in fees on current investments and he gets to keep the same strategy.   When I gave him the news he just whinged about his life...   Huh??    Money definitely does not bring happiness.    Although not having any doesn't give you much of a chance to find out.

I've previously had one of my dream jobs. I spent a little over 12 months working for the roadhouse in Birdsville. Fixing broken fourbys and campers and recovering people broken down out in the Simpson.
Now I'm close to another dream job, working in mining week on/off. Plenty of spare time to take the kids out in the new camper once the weather eases up a bit.

I did the turn my passion into my job once.
I would never recommend anyone doing it.
Started archery in school in my early teens.
Hooked me instantly.
For 30 plus years I always had a bow or three.
Knew everything about archery equipment there was to know.
Got a chance to open my own archery shop and jumped on it.
Within 4 years I hated everything archery related.
Sold everything and closed up shop  in 2011 and haven't touched anything archery related since.
Only now, 5 years later do I think of getting back into it.

And don't get the idea that retirement is a dream job either. Flat out all day every day doing things for people who think you have plenty of time. I'm thinking of going back to work, at least you get weekends off.
