Architects or builders advice wanted

I have a walkway on my deck that leads to the backyard that is temporarily half blocked but I need to be able to fully close it off due to the wind and rain that pelts in. Obviously a door is best option but I am stuck on how to design it.

The 2 issues that are stumping me are the sloping roof and the fact that there's a bedroom window right where the door would be making either hinging or latching difficult.

The first pic is from the deck looking out the second is looking along the line at the window.

I want maximum light in as it's a dark area anyway double reason for bedroom window.

One thought was to build an alcove so window is not any different than it currently is. Another option is to extend the roof and deck to be level with the rest of the house and build in a door arrangement then.
I also wanted to have the currently temp blocked off area as another door.

Any ideas please jot them down. This project has gone on long enough and I just can't seem to find a decent solution

As the world's single most lazy builder, I'd be ripping down the tin shed bit and having ally sliders made up in the same colour as the window. Get them made so they just fit under the lowest point of your soffit and butt into the right hand side of the window. Run a head across from the eave to the existing far right post to fix the joinery to.
After that you can box out/flash the little triangle above the window and frame and line above the slider to match the roof pitch then screw on a flashing from the new wall back to the roof to cover the void.
It'll even look like someone meant to do it.

I'm trying to work out how you are going turn the house up side down so your deck is at the bottom with roof on top!,!!!

Put a decent piece of timber up the wall beside the window on the house wall and hang a door off  that
There should be frame beside the window to anchor to.
Conversely, hang the door from the existing post and close it to the new wood beside the window.
coat of paint and it'll be just like the rest.
Agree with GBC about the roof too.

I'm guessing you can't put timber on the wall as it lines up part way across that window?
If that is the case, maybe some sort of on wall slider set up running off that centre section might work? Put a lintel of some sort bracketed above the window back to the post, enclose the head area above it and have the door slide back to that centre section when open. You'd have to shape the door edge to suit where it hits the window, not ideal in looks but could work maybe.
It is hard to know exactly would will and won't work just looking at those pics.

A bit of centerflex hinge,  a couple of good gas rams and a  light ally frame covered with some ACP sheet, hinged from the top section ..push to open and added bonus of being an awning to cover the steps .

A plan or layout view, would help a lot, for where things line up.
Your Local Council could be a problem if you totally enclose that space.
I'm not in your area so You would have to find that one out.
Down here they take a dim view of windows with no access to light.
Maybe a custom security door could help, does it have to be a solid door/gate?

Extend the roof using laser light or similar material to let light in.

Maybe extend the deck too?   I assume that is stairs that go down to the path.

Think outside the deck, and put the door on the path at the end of the house, past the current deck line. Extend roof with laserlight, put in a big window on the other side to keep the light. 

Oh, and Cruiser is probably right about building regs etc, but if you are prepared to remove the extension when you sell we won't tell on you.

The area im talking about here faces west and the prevailing southerlies and rain that come through this opening make the area uncomfortable most of the year and unusable in the wet hence the need for a "solid" door im open to glass plastic or any suitable material as long as it lets the light in. As for being fully enclosed the north and east sides have plenty of open area.

I think Rumpig has it for you.
A slider with a custom sized door panel.
Track on the outside with flashing to cover.
It would put the door closer to the side of the window, instead of over the glass.
The catch could go on the existing post and the catch plate/s could be on the door.
That would keep it fully open, or fully shut, and a stop in/on the track to keep it from hitting the wall/window.
You could run timber up the wall to the underside of the window and fit closed cell foam to the door to take up the gap to the glass.
Would do the job, not sure if the look would be that attractive.
Solid sheet in the bottom half of the door and polycarb or laserlite for the top half beside the window.
Would a double sized security door covered with laserlite bridge that gap. One from large glass patio doors maybe.
Worth a look at your local second hand building supplies yard.  They might have the slider track and fittings too.

These are manual adjust only, tilt one leaf and the others follow. Rolls super easy for open/close even after 10 years and this is my primary escape exit to the man shed. Smooth and easy to operate.
