Hey guys, not affiliated with insurance in anyway but I am a finance broker and have an agreement with Allianz where by clients can get cheaper insurance. I do not have a van however my dad has a jayco expanda outback which he insured with them. He was wrapped with price and cheap excess. PM me if you want details so you can obtain a discounted over the phone quote.

A few more have been put up over time too just type caravan insurance into the search on the forums and you should find a few threads about it.

Read the fine print.
What happens if the tug is written off but the camper fine? How do you get the CT home

What is the camper has to stay and be repaired over several weeks but you can drive the tug?

What if both are okay but you are sick and can't drive?

When are the contents actually covered?

Would it? What would they claim?
I can't see an insurance company paying out just because it broke and they left it behind.
Happy to be enlightened, though.

Anyone else want to add to the list? I've just emailed my broker to find out.

Email.....

Just a question in insurance for Patrol and Camper Trailer.

If I'm out on an unofficial track in the desert/ high country and I have to abandon both or either and I insured?

If I'm doing a water crossing and get washed down stream are the two insured?

If I'm driving on a beach and get bogged and the tide comes in, am I insured?

I ask these questions in regard to the pic below, which was in the desert out the back of nowhere.

Cheers

The email from my broker:-

The policy is an accidental loss or damage and PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE WHEN TRAVELLING.
Otherwise those examples that you gave would be covered under the ****** policy wording we have issued for you
Policies ***** and ******.

I also took the liberty in speaking with the motor underwriters and they also stated that the below circumstances were also covered under the **** Policy  wording we issued.

Cheers
