Hi Lost,
In Oct we stayed at The Nug Nug Reserve near Myrtleford and were the only ones there and loved it, even though the temperature dropped to -3
It was snowing on Mount buffalo at the time though
It`s a very large area with flush toilets, cold showers, about 80 powered sites ( not designated sites ) water and bbqs and a small creek. For those who prefer no facilities there are 2 other small bush camping areas nearby.
It is surrounded by the Mount Buffalo National Park and is 10klms to both Lake buffalo and Myrtleford and a nice trip to Bright or Beechworth.
We used it as a base for day trips. I don`t know if that`s the kind of place that appeals to you but this might be of interest to someone else.
