Ordering poly airbags from USA
« on: December 19, 2012, 10:37:55 AM »
I,m seeing a man about a dog over in the USA

And I have been chasing up some airlift / polyair bags and was a lot harder than it needed to be ..
In Aust poly air is the name of our product and they are one and th same as airlift which is I believe the parent us company.

Long story short if you have a landcrusier the extended bag part number if ordering from  the USA  is.

AIR-60755   5.38in Dia and 10.5in length for raised suspension upto 2.5inch /AUST part no 15090

AIR-60728.  5.38in Dia and 8.5in length for standard height suspension./AUST part No 15895

These kits are $90 and can be shipped to Aust for around $60 so $150 instead of $275.00

I struggled to find the exact part numbers but spoke direct with airlift this morning and have bought a set ..the trucks over here run the standard height bags even with lift ??? So there is no listing for raised height bags on the website ,the part number for raised comes up as Chevy or something but as you can see by the dimensions the bag is the same as the standard just longer. Which is what we want for a lift.

They don't have our roads so I,m told that only Aussies want the raised height bag hence no listing ..when I explained that it makes it hard for us to order from over here the guy just smiled at me .....

The other thing is over here the fitting is done through the bottom of the spring Tower mount on the diff housing , they drill out the bottom hole and fit the bag upside down, with the fitting inside the base.. And the air line is kept low..my polyair bags were fitted with top fittings and lines , I know Firestone fit through the top as they use a spacer plate ..anyone's airbags fitted this way with fittings down the bottom ?

Thought I'd post up as it was pain to find it all out but thought it might save someone else.

$90 for airbags ..I,m a happy camper :D ;D

That will be the key to it all ..@ 10.5 inches tall they should be right, I can not find any info re tech specs on our range in Aust .

I wonder what the actual height of the raised bags is in Aust ? I,m going to go with 262.5mm if its higher than that then  :'(

I did the same with my R51 and bought them from the US.
I had a contact and give him the measurements of the coil and he matched it with whatever bags they have.
Easy to install yourself and indeed $145 delivered.

I hAd a lot of drama and people could not get it that I wanted taller bags for a crusier when the part system said  a different number then I found this...can,t attach it but google this and t will come up..if someone can attach to the thread ..that would be tops

CSVFR003.xls   Into google its the part numbers and the measurements rather than vehicles .

Went through a similar exercise with Firestone version. Although their site did specify a landcruiser 2" lifted set of bags. It came with spacers but I am not using them.  Fully loaded and with the camper hitched it stays level at 17psi.   Maybe even lower.... Never tried it.

If any digs this thread up a year... Ad you need the Firestone ones head over to local.org and you'll find part numbers and pics.
