We just got back from a trip to the Flinder's Ranges (like everyone else) but had some brake issues on the way up there with our new Jayco Swan Outback.
Some great caravaners from Adelaide we were camped next to suggested a call into Jayco Mildura as they bring their van from Adelaide to there as they are outstanding, just as crackacoldie says. We called in on their advice and, just off the street they asked if we could leave the van for a few hours. When we came back they said they pulled the brakes down, cleaned them up and adjusted them no problem. And we had no more brake problems.
On the trip we had some other issues so we called into Jayco Mildura on the way back. We identified some issues we had and the manager came out and had a look at everything and and agreed with all of our concerns. He stated there was a recall on the hotplate we were not advised about, even the wrong bag fly was fitted to the rear and several other things and said when we get back to pursue it with Jayco Nowra as we have 12 months for them to get it right and if needed get them to call him.
I love the product but there appears to be no pre-delivery inspection, no quality control and little caring. You would think that the senior managers of Jayco Australia would browse these forums and address several of these issues that are highlighted and demonstrate a commitment to a better quality product.
