Title: Stopping Shit blowing under the door of the shed
Post by: Bird on October 29, 2017, 12:10:00 PM: So I'm in a never ending battle to stop Shit blowing under the door of me shed.. it has 2 x 3mtr wide sliding doors. I have a good 2-3inch gap to block due to a ****in useless mate of a mate concreter

I was thinking of conveyor belt or rubber strip but at Clarke rubber prices, it would be cheaper to buy my own island. And conveyor might be too hard to work with.

Discussing last night someone suggested the brush Shit they used on truck wheel arches might be easier and cheaper.... 300 for 10 mts :(

At the same time you would be making a fashion statement! ;D

They sell a product like this at Bunnings just for this purpose. Worth a 👀.

Sadly the bags of fertilizer have a larger IQ than the local Bunnings staff, so I'd never stand a chance of asking where to find it.. any idea what its called ???

I actually heard that they get paid closer to $26+ bucks an hour.

Go for a drive along any highway. Pick up said wheel spray brush. Dual purpose, you're doing your bit cleaning up and fixes ya gap problem. ;D

It comes in 2kg bags, you mix the powder with water and spread on the concrete slab.
The chemicals in the paste react with the existing concrete and makes it swell up to 15% and it also makes it malleable so you could shape the old slab into more of a ramp to lessen the gap.

Can you adjust the door mine had upper and lower limiters that i could adjust to get it down that last inch
Any other solutions?

na cause towards the end where it closes into a slot thing it would hit the deck and not close properly

(Doors run on rollers at top?)... if so you likely won't be able to extend the door with something solid I'm guessing as you mention? ...but only guessing as we need pics to have a better idea of the problem and how it can be fixed.

I'm also assuming the problem is inconsistent level under the door seal.
A possible solution is some self levelling ardit - Bunnings again.....
