Kerry and I were up at Australian Offroad today, and they showed us a new model released yesterday.(eluded to by King Billy last year). Its called an Eclipse Plus.

Meant to be a direct competitor for the CC Exodus 14.
Has a full outside kitchen of the Quantum, but the internals of the Eclipse.(so no internal shower/toilet of the Quantum) But it has a new drop down shower off the back...like the CC Exodus.
And it costs $10k less than the Exodus.
Spoke to the AOR owner (Steve) for about 40 mins and he gave us his views on the market and where it might be going. And how some camper brands are having to position themselves in relation to the cheaper imports. Interesting times in the Caravan and Camper market.

X 2, If there is no prices listed it generally means if you have to ask you cant afford it

Prices are on the main AOR website. Yes, their products seem expensive, until you own one.

We were there a few weeks back and the guys were saying they really got hammered by the cheap imported camper trailers and had to lay off a lot of their canvas workers. But the sales of their Quantum, Matrix and others have taken off. It is amazing how many staff they have there now. We also paid a visit to the Bushtracker factory and were amazed how they have expanded and the number of staff. Good to see businesses doing well. Yes the products at AOR and Bushtracker are not cheap but they are extremely good quality and their after sales service is brilliant. Kevin

Hi Kev,
We had an Odyssey Export Signature for 4 years, Went a few places. Sold it late 2013 for a great price and bought the Quantum. Very happy.

What's the starting price for the Eclipse Plus? I looked on AOR's website but couldn't find anything, requested brochures but no response from them!

Hi Mark - I would be interested in learning more about this aspect of the industry - if you have some spare time to post...
I recently spoke at length with John; (owner at Lifestyle) - and he had some interesting things to say on these matters as well...
cheers in advance

Not sure what is happening there lately. Put our AOR Odyssey in for a service back in February and one on the list of things to check I put was that our water heater is leaking. They said if it is a split they cannot repair but need to replace, which we said that would be fine. Picked up the camper and they said they replaced the pressure switch. Well did not think that we needed to set up and check the heater, found it leaking when we did in prep for you current trip. Did not have time to drive all the way back to them to fix it. Now the leak is big time and I phoned them to ask did they take the heater out to check it? No it is a big job so they just checked and could not see a leak. Well now these heaters are a bit known for getting leaks, particularly when fitted to off road campers. Friends also with a AOR have had two replacements! So here we are, went and bought a 12 volt bucket pump and have blocked off the heater so we can use the water pump and no help from AOR. I just thought they would have taken the heater out, we already said we agreed to a replacement if needed so money was not the issue. Other than that, they are a great build. Kevin
