This is a variation on my Boss' Coffee theory.

First day on the job, you offer to make your Boss a cup of coffee.
You make the worst damn cup of coffee you can manage. I don't care what you put in it - be creative.
Boss never asks you to make him coffee ever again. Bonus points if the Boss takes pity on your terribly coffee making skills, and starts making YOU a coffee.

As for what I have learnt this week:
The only people that actually go to a nude beach are exactly the people that you most certainly do NOT want to see naked.

Cheers!
Matto :)

No matter how bad things look or you think your life sux, take five minutes to look around you, there are people in far deeper poo or are worse off than yourself.
Get outside every day, Miracles are waiting everywhere

Of course the boss theory goes out the door if you work in a coffee shop and yes all the wrong people go to nudist beaches......well so I have been told

Forgot to add my lesson of the week.
Pack the weeks clothes in a small bag when going to work so when Qantas want to lighten the load they can't take your bag of as its stuffed in the over head locker

I learnt something this week, one must listen to what one wife actually said before repling with a paper bag would be cheaper.

There are a lot of people in hospital [or the cemetary] that would love to have played golf as badly as you today.

You need to come to Cairns for a while. As much as I'd like to blame the tourists (and there's certainly some of them that need re-educating with a sack of half-bricks), the locals are just as bad.

Contrast this to when I was driving in LA a few years back. Everyone was courteous, left room, let you change lanes if/when you needed to, etc. I was dreading it, we've all heard stories about the lawlessness of the LA freeways, but it was wonderfully refreshing. Even when I did do something silly, right in front of a cop as it turns out, he just smiled at the useless tourist and waved me through - here it would have resulted in a half-hour verbal barrage. Whenever I get cranky on the roads here, I try and remember that if people in LA can behave in a civil fashion, then I'm sure I can too.

That people who hide behind the anonymity of their keyboard, aren't as tough & hardcore in person ;D
Some people. Doesn't apply to me - I'm actually tougher. But even I pale before the sheer hardcoreness of D4D.

This week I've learnt that Friday is the best day of the week - it's just such a shame that there's 4 work days in front of it.

Cheers,
Matto :)

My learning has lead me to the belief that no matter how old I am (52 years) and no matter how much I have experienced I will never know as much as my  30yr old, 21 yr old and 17 yr old children (I've still got the 13yr old bluffed).  One day I hope to be young enough to know everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You did!  about 35 years ago... but you've forgotten it all now ;D

I love the retort we get when we remind our oldest that we were 15 once too.  " yeah nah it's different these days, like you guys had it so much easier back then"

I learnt that Fridays are terrible days when you have no Internet and no Computers all day when your business relies on them to do just about everything. Just glad its over but still have 4 hour tomorrow to struggle through hopefully it may all be working tomorrow. :-[

I learnt not to stuff up my dates and rule out the wrong Friday in my diary.

Thinking the Kilkivan Xmas drinks was next Friday, i'd booked in 7 mows for yesterday and a further 3 today.

I've now started taking jobs for next Friday..... May as well, seeing as how i cant tell my arse from my elbow.

I've also learnt that everything now is "like"something. It never "is" its "like"

So the car was like super cool. It wasn't super cool it was like super cool.

Ah the digital world.....................
At least beer is still real.

Oh no sorry, I've been told its "like"awesome. Not actually awesome, "like"awesome...................

Get a haircut and learn to talk. Lets hope Gen Z has some direction and hope....... >:D >:D >:D >:D

That's coz the floor gets further away as you get older (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing002.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)
