Title: Question For Those Around Melbourne
Post by: NewcastleKnight on November 10, 2011, 07:47:33 PM: Next year I have to travel to Melbourne a few times for Uni residential workshops.

Any advise on good cheap accommodation near the Caufield Campus of Monash Uni?

PM me with your timings and I will have a look around for you. The Caulfield campus is on two major rail lines (across the road from the station) so there is a whole world of opportunities, in many and varied price ranges, open to you.

That way you have some eating places too. If you go the other way towards Oakleigh they'll be cheaper but then you're in the middle of nowhere.

You're on the Frankston or Pakenham line.

Within 2klms of Caulfield campus you have approx 6 pubs, 50-60 resturants + numerous take aways, and if you're a good boy you might even get a beer at my place. If you want to stay in Melbourne central you are only a 15min train trip away. Don't panic about accommodation (even on Grand final week) you don't need to worry in a place the size of Melbourne.
