Did you get the Baby Q 120? We're looking at getting one also. Q 100 or Q120? Be interested to see how the Honda goes with the aircon.

No, we got the Q100 with cover and large hotplate to do eggs etc for breaky. Whe I spoke to the Honda dealer they asked if it was a Dometic AC which it is and he stated that the 2KVa is what they recommend. I will post up how it performs once I get the van and trial it.....

stupid question #674..

Do you just have a normal gas pipe between the camper and the BBQ? Presumably you don't need a regulator as it's already regulated at the bottle?

yep normal lead from Bayonet to Baby Q no regulator, the lead I got for Bayonet is 3mtr, the supplied lead with BBQ has regulator.

I seriously thought about getting a gas connection on the a fram or rear of the Camper but decided against it as I wanted the freedom to put the BBQ out in open air, not under awning to cook. Having a gas line running out to this would be a trip hazard for the little ones and isn't a real issue setting up on gas bottle and Baby Q.

Mate a baby q you are becoming quite caravan ish now aren't you  ;D. We love our baby q top bit of gear we use it every weekend at home to do the Sunday roast as well as taking it away with us when we go camping. Just finished a yummy roast lamb tonight cooked in the baby q. We also thought about the extra gas connection but in the end decided against it haven't regretted not getting it

Guy's and Gals,

The boat is on the market and have prices on the Jayco Hawk and Eagle with many extras and was wishing to get some opinions on must have accessories? We have listed the following to be added to the camper.....Also, for those that have them which layout is more user friendly and has more storage (if any) Hawk or Eagle. I currently prefer the Hawk with the galley style kitchen. Also, do they do wind up TV antennas for these type of vans? The two prices I have are honestly below what I expected, awaiting on a couple more to come in......

Outback Pack
Solar Pack 120watt
Battery but would like dual setup, with Anderson plug charge cable to the vehicle.
Bed Flys
Roof Rack
Air conditioning
Microwave
Alko-Drop jacks
Bag Awning
DVD/CD player and speakers
Bumper Bar
2 Extra Jerry can holders - on rear bumper
OZ Hitch off road coupling

These are what we are currently looking at and any assistance would be greatly appreciated......

Well, I have had to make some changes to my extras with one forced due to Jayco no longer doing swing up Jockey wheel. Seems to do with when the jockey wheel is wound all the way out on the outbacks to contact the ground there isn't sufficient thread engaged and they deem unsafe. Well, I would have thought you just source a bigger jockey wheel. I also had the second jerry can removed and replaced with a second gas bottle though only a 4.5kg as this is for the Weber Baby Q100.

Jayco Outback Hawk
Bed Flys
ALKO Drop legs
Fiamma Awning
120watt Solar Pack
2 x Battery set up
Anderson Plug for charging from vehicle whilst traveling.
A/C
CD/DVD Player with external marine speakers
Extra 4kg Gas bottle holder
OZ Hitch
Roof Racks
Inner Spring mattress to Queen bed only
Draw bar extension
Bag awning to Kitchen side
Jayco control panel to show power and water levels
12v pump to kitchen
Sink cover
Microwave
Upgrade to 110ltr Waeco 12/240v fridge
Axel upgrade to 2000kg
Pole carrier
2nd Water tank
Sun shade wall to awning
Tap on Draw bar
Extra rib to Fiamma awning to assist in water run off....

As far as I know the are just above, left and right of the external light. Funny thing is the dealer said I'm the first he has ever had ask for external marine speakers...... ;D

Teabag I can't believe you are getting a poptop!

Funny thing is we are deciding on a Hawk or Flamingo this weekend ourselves  :-[ Our list of extras looks about the same as yours right now! We'll keep the camper trailer for the harder 4WDing as it owes us nothing in any case.
